Ethics and Civil Disobedience with Professor Daniel J. Canon

This presentation explores ethical issues under the Model Rules of Professional Conduct and related rules in advising clients who engage in civil disobedience. Topics include counseling protesters before and after acts of nonviolent resistance, advising incarcerated people on organizing, the idea of "uncivil obedience," and principles of movement lawyering.
