About the Louisville Bar Association

Founded in 1900 and based in Louisville, Kentucky, the Louisville Bar Association (LBA) is a voluntary bar organization operating under the supervision of Kentucky’s Supreme Court. The LBA’s rich history of serving legal professionals and the public continues today by offering education and development programs in Jefferson County and throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

In 2023, the LBA adopted the motto “Law. Community. Education.” — capturing the essence of its mission to inform, educate and empower all members of the local and legal communities in Kentuckiana.     Click here to read more about the LBA >
